About

Israeli Pro Wrestling Association (IPWA) is an independent wrestling promotion operating out of Netanya, Israel. IPWA was founded by Gery Roif in 2001, being the first pro wrestling promotion to be created in the Holy Land. IPWA is known for it's technical style and is the only promotion in Israel that pays it's local wrestlers. IPWA has just signed a multi-year deal with Israel's most prestigious location - The Cultural Hall of Netanya to feature events in a 600+ seat arena.

After almost 20 years promoting wrestling shows and after headlining the big Rage show against the Von Erichs in front of over 1,000 fans, IPWA promoter Gery Roif was fortunate enough to wrestle in the U.S and Germany and then bring 2 Israeli talents to the WWE Performance Center. The professional environment in Germany's WXW and WWE's Performance Center inspired Roif to come back stronger than ever and this time emphasize the "professional" aspect in professional wrestling. At Passover Bash in April 2019 IPWA featured what many said was the best match to have ever happened in the Holy Land when Jay Lethal went one on one with David Starr. On this show, Matt Sydal became the IPWA champion, defeating Rabbi Swissa for the title. The card was stacked with professional wrestling from top to bottom and the word "professional" was at the top of the list.

Former WWE Superstar, Matt Sydal (Even Bourne) continues to hold the IPWA championship and represent the high standard IPWA is trying to convey.

Our mission is simple - to be a top Independent wrestling promotion and do it in the most professional manner.
